Drive On Peabody Road? Upcoming Closure Planned
A portion will be shut down for the next 14 months.

From the Fairfield Police Department:
The Fairfield Police Department would like to remind you that Peabody Road will be closed on June 12 between Cement Hill Road and Huntington Drive.
This closure will last for at least 14 months in order to build a new railroad overcrossing.

Cement Hill will be open and is the recommended detour route, but we are expecting significant traffic delays, especially during commute hours.
Additional officers will be assigned to the roadways in and around the detour for traffic enforcement. Please plan ahead and allow for extra time if you have to drive through the area. We are also asking everyone to drive safely and be patient.
