Fairfield Great Grandmother And 2 Children Missing Since Sunday

Police are looking for a great grandmother and her two great grandchildren. The missing trio's car has been spotted in the Danville area.

FAIRFIELD, CA — Fairfield Police and the family of a 75-year-old great grandmother are asking for help finding her and her two missing great-grandchildren.

Neither Sandra Young nor her two great-grandchildren, 9-year-old Jayden Hill and 7-year-old Katalyhah Hill have been seen for several days although Young’s car has been spotted on cameras roughly 30 minutes from her home, according to police. Young has since missed appointments to meet with relatives as well as her kidney dialysis treatment.

“The vehicle that they’re associated with has popped up around the Alamo, Danville and Walnut Creek area,” Fairfield Police Department Lt. Jausiah Jacobsen told KCRA.

According to police “Ms. Young last spoke with her sister on Sunday, November 24th. Family members have been unable to contact Ms. Young since that time, and her vehicle is not at her residence.”

Young’s family is alarmed by her uncharacteristic disappearance.

“That’s not normal behavior for her,” her nephew Lavonce Block told KCRA. “I don’t know what’s going on... She was supposed to leave here to go to my mother’s house to pick up a turkey and what I heard was the bridge cameras had pinged her car going across the bridge several times.”

Young drives a green 2004 Acura TL with California license plate 5HLM514.

Young and the children are considered to be at risk due to their age as well as Ms. Young's medical conditions, according to police. Anyone who spots them should call local police or 9-1-1.
