Fairfield Man Arrested For Hatchet Attack
The suspect is charged with attempted murder.

Police arrested a Fairfield man Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder, in connection with an assault that happened Sunday morning.
On Sunday at 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault in the 2100 block of Cadenasso Drive, according to police. There, officers located the victim, a 44-year-old Fairfield resident.
The victim had been struck with a hatchet and had a large cut on his back, police said.

On Monday, police identified 35-year-old Sean Wright as the suspect in the assault and issued a warrant for his arrest, according to police. An officer spotted Wright on Wednesday near the intersection of Travis Boulevard and Second Street and arrested him, police said.
Wright has been booked into the Solano County Detention Facility, according to police.
