Fairfield Man Busted With Sawed-Off Shotgun In Trailer Park: Cops

BREAKING: Police say a firearm, drugs and ammunition were allegedly found in the man's trailer when he asked officers to grab his cellphone.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A report of a disturbance at a Fairfield trailer park Tuesday led to the arrest of a man when police allegedly found a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, drugs and drug paraphernalia inside his trailer. Officers initially made contact with Ryan Albertsen, 34, when they responded to the trailer park in the 1400 block of W. Texas Street and found Albertsen among the parties involved in the alleged disturbance, Fairfield police Sgt. Matt Bloesch said.

Officers soon learned Albertsen had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest out of Contra Costa County, and as they were placing him under arrest for the warrant he asked them to go into his trailer to grab his cellphone, Bloesch said.

Once inside Albertsen's trailer, the officers saw a "significant amount of drug paraphernalia strewn about and a sawed-off shotgun resting against a wall," Bloesch said.

Problem was, Bloesch said, Albertsen had a restraining order against him and was forbidden from owning or possessing firearms.

So the officers sought a warrant and once it was signed by a judge, they retrieved the shotgun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of narcotics from the trailer.
