Assina McNeally

The Problem-Solving badge has a set of competencies that require learners to demonstrate understanding through a final Capstone Project and the application of the IDEAL problem-solving framework. Digital Badges help PAL members tell a story about what they know and what they can do.

“The Ideal Problem-Solving framework helps you understand your choices along the way,” says recipient Raeshaun Priest. “Learning how to define the context of a problem, will help you avoid jumping straight to finding the solution—so I solve the root cause of the problem” agrees Veronica Hernandex-Gonzalez. “Understanding the steps of being an IDEAL problem solver, “says Rocco Palomto, “makes it easier because it gives you a specific way to take a problem to a solution.” “I feel better about my problem-solving abilities now, “says Raeshaun, “because I know the steps to use.” “This (problem solving) is a good thing to know," said Amiya Simms “because businesses need to make money and if you are a good problem solver, you can stop chaos and focus on moving the business forward.”
