Fairfield PAL Center Thanks Tri-City Glass & Mirror

Announcement from the Fairfield Police Department:

In early March 2015, the Fairfield Police Activities League (PAL Center) was the beneficiary of a significant, and much appreciated corporate donation from the Tri-City Glass & Mirror Company, located at 515 Main St, Suisun.

Tri-City Glass & Mirror Company owner Vincent Guisande donated, and his staff installed free of charge, a series of large mirrors in the PAL Center’s boxing/kajukenbo training room and the PAL Center dance activity room.

The addition of mirrors in PAL Center sports programs greatly enhances teen’s performance because they allow athletes to refine their movements and correct flaws in their technique. For dance participants, mirrors help them evaluate the height and shape of their movements, correct body placement, and to assess the line of their bodies. These aspects of sports are difficult to coach unless athletes can see themselves.

This month’s donation to the Fairfield PAL Center wasn’t the first for the Tri-City Glass & Mirror Co. and Vincent Guisande. Mr. Guisande has been a long-term supporter of the program and made a similar donation of mirrors when the PAL Center was located at its original site on Travis Blvd a few years ago.

Fairfield PAL programming is funded through donations. The incredible support of companies like the Tri-City Glass & Mirror Co. make it possible for the Fairfield PAL Center to provide a safe place for Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens to grow, learn, and build the life skills they need and help them thrive in the future. The Fairfield PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families, and helps teens grow by providing opportunities.

The Fairfield PAL Center is home to a host of enriching programs and activities designed to support our teenage members. They include; homework and academic enrichment, career planning, fitness and recreation programs, leadership and character education, and health/wellness and life skills activities.

The Fairfield PAL Center thanks Vincent Guisande, and the Tri-City Glass & Mirror Company for its continuing support of our program, and Fairfield area teens.
