Fairfield PAL Hosting Youth 'Turkey Trot 5K Skate Night' Friday!

Event is open to students in grades 7 to 12 in Fairfield, Suisun and Travis with a PAL membership.

FAIRFIELD, CA – Local teens, with a Fairfield Police Activities League membership, are invited to a special Turkey Trot on roller skates Friday, Nov. 18 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Commemorative T-shirts will be awarded to the first members to skate the equivalent of a 5K -- about 60 minutes of skating, or 72 laps around the PAL gym!

Glow products, pizza, and roller-skates will be provided -- plus a live DJ, Youth Commission photo booth, Mannequin Challenge, and a pie buffet!

PAL membership required to participate. Roller skates provided, thanks to the support of the Matt Garcia Foundation.

First-time skaters should arrive by 6 p.m. for a quick “skate school” class or reserve a skate trainer in advance.

The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis students enrolled in grades seven through 12.

PAL Memberships are $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center, 1000 Webster St., Monday through Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The PAL Center is located at 2195 Union Ave. in Fairfield.
