Fairfield PAL Launches Free Summer Lineup for Local Teens

NERF Tournaments, Survivor Week, Fitness Pop-Ups, and Free Meals Coming to Fairfield PAL

By 10 a.m. this summer, the Fairfield PAL Teen Center will already have breakfast served, basketballs bouncing, game controllers out, boxing gloves ready, and a full day of free teen activities just getting started.

From June 9 through July 30, Fairfield PAL will offer free summer programming Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for teens ages 13–18 who live in Fairfield, Suisun City, or Travis Air Force Base. The program includes free breakfast and lunch, daily recreation, special events, fitness activities, leadership opportunities, digital literacy workshops, and space for teens to hang out with friends in a safe, welcoming teen center.

This summer’s lineup is built around the things teens want to do: compete, create, move, eat, help out, and try something new without having to pay to participate.

Teens can expect regular activities like boxing, basketball, video games, cooking, Girls Circle, cardio drumming, tournaments, team challenges, and pop-up activities throughout the summer.

In partnership with Tech Exchange, there will also be special Digital Literacy Workshops. Teens who complete all four digital literacy workshops will receive a free laptop while learning practical skills such as email basics, smart online searching, spotting scams, finding reliable information, and learning about low-cost internet options. Workshop sessions will be offered June 8–11 or July 6–9 from 10:00 AM to noon. Space is limited, and students must attend all four days of the session they choose.

On Wednesdays at 1:30pm, Girls Circle will invite teens to “Find Their Float” through a fun, supportive series focused on grounding, self-discovery, and mental wellness. Using the Calm & Connected Unity Circle® curriculum, girls will explore practical tools for managing emotions, building confidence, understanding their strengths, and staying connected to healthy support systems. Each session will feature a themed soda float tied to the day’s lesson, and participants who complete the full series will celebrate with a special Hurricane Harbor field trip sponsored by Soroptimist International of Central Solano County.

The BikeMobile will visit on Tuesday, July 21 at 10:00 AM to provide free bike repairs for teens. Advanced signs up will be required, with space limited to 20 sign-ups. The BikeMobile can replace most broken parts, including flat tires and brakes, but cannot replace wheels or gears. There will be a salsa making contest on our Blender Bike, a trike drift race, basic bike repair workshops, and more!

PAL is also inviting community partners, local businesses, instructors, volunteers, and organizations to help add even more to the summer calendar. Partners can lead a workshop, host a career chat, sponsor food or prizes, donate supplies, run a fitness session, bring a creative activity, or help create a one-day event teens will remember.

To participate in summer programs, teens must have a free Fairfield PAL membership. Membership registration is completed at the Fairfield Community Center, 1000 Kentucky Street, and requires a parent or guardian signature and valid student ID.
