Fairfield PAL is a Lowes' Hometown!!

Fairfield PAL Teen Center Receives Lowe's Hometowns Grant, Benefitting Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Teens!

The City of Fairfield’s Police Activities League (PAL) was awarded $300,000.00 in funding as part of Lowe’s Hometowns, an initiative that is helping to restore and revitalize spaces that serve as the hubs and heartbeats of communities.

This funding will help with the cost to add a basketball court at the new location, 2256 North Texas Street. Court provides teens with a safe place to play basketball, volleyball, or other sports—for FREE. More importantly, it means more opportunities for teens to get exercise and the exact types of physical activity that increases social skills, focus, self-regulation of emotions, overall health, and academic achievement while decreasing anxiety and stress. Fairfield is lucky to have such a good partner in Lowe’s.

This year is the first of a five-year, $100 million commitment from Lowe’s to the communities it serves, with this year’s projects spanning 40 states and Washington, D.C. You can learn more about the program here: https://corporate.lowes.com/ne...

The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a current ID and parent / guardian signature. The PAL Center is currently closed as we prepare to re-open at our new site located at 2250 North Texas Street later this summer. Fairfield PAL uses the fun of recreation to engage teens and build great qualities.
