Fairfield Police Ask For Help Identifying Alleged Shooter Of 2
Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with a shooting Monday morning in a Fairfield parking lot.
FAIRFIELD - Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with a shooting Monday morning in a Fairfield parking lot that injured two people.
Around 11:40 a.m., a police officer who was in the 1700 block of North Texas Street was conducting a traffic enforcement stop when they heard gunshots nearby, according to police.
Citizens told the officer a gunshot victim was on the other side of a building just north of the traffic stop.

Upon arrival, officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. The two victims were taken to a hospital, police said.
One of the victim's, a 20-year-old man from Olivehurst in Yuba County, suffered several gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition, according to police.

The second victim, a 44-year-old Fairfield resident, was an innocent bystander. That victim also suffered from several gunshot wounds, but has been upgraded to stable condition, police said.
After a preliminary investigation, officers determined the shooting was a result of a dispute between the suspect and the 20-year-old man who is in critical condition.
When the two confronted each other in a parking lot, an exchange of gunfire occurred, police said. After the shooting, the suspect fled in a vehicle, heading north on North Texas Street.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds.
He was wearing a dark orange and white long sleeved plaid shirt and blue jeans, according to police.
The suspect vehicle is described as a late 1990s or early 2000s white Lexus ES300.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
