Fairfield police investigating a trespassing complaint discovered a 23-year-old man wanted on an active homicide probation warrant.

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police investigating a trespassing complaint discovered a 23-year-old man wanted on an active homicide probation warrant and arrested him.

According to Fairfield police, 23-year-old Terrance Trammell was taken into custody and arrested on multiple counts following an incident Wednesday morning.

Police say officers were called to a residence on Villa Court to investigate a possible trespassing violation.

Responding officers say they found Trammell in the area, who they say is on active probation for homicide in San Francisco and had a warrant for violating his probation.

Fairfield police say after Trammell was placed under arrest for the warrant, the arresting officer found a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine in Trammell's duffel bag.

Trammel, a 23-year-old Fairfield resident, was arrested for violation of probation; possessing a loaded firearm; and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
