Fairfield Police Update Address Of High-Risk Sex Offender

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police on Thursday say they have updated the address of a high-risk sex offender after he moved.

According to police, Juarez Demetris, a 79-year-old man, has now registered his current address as being in the 600 block of Cement Hill Rd.

Demetris was recently released from prison. He is on supervised parole. When he was first placed in Fairfield, he resided in the 2100 block of North Texas Street.

Demetris was convicted in 1977 of lewd or lascivious acts with a child and in 1996 of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to Bay City News.

Fairfield police say they will continue to keep the community updated if Demetris again changes his address of residence.
