FAIRFIELD - A traffic stop Monday was bad news for one driver and a lucky break for another, Fairfield police said.

When Officer Ryan Parodi pulled over a driver for a moving violation around 4:30 p.m. Monday, the driver pulled next to another vehicle in a parking lot at North Texas Street and East Pacific Avenue, Officer Cleo
Mayoral said.

As Parodi walked up to the car that he pulled over, he saw a passenger in the other vehicle next to it counting money and sorting through canisters of marijuana, Mayoral said.
