Fairfield Traffic Stop Leads To Stolen Gun Recovery

A traffic enforcement stop in Fairfield led Special Operations team detectives to the recovery of a stolen firearm Saturday evening.

FAIRFIELD - A traffic enforcement stop in Fairfield led Special Operations team detectives to the recovery of a stolen firearm Saturday evening, according to police.

Police said around 7:30 p.m. detectives conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of North Texas Street.

According to police, during the stop detectives located a loaded handgun allegedly inside the jacket pocket of 19-year-old Fairfield resident Jayro Magana.

Police the said the handgun had been reported stolen out of Arizona.

Magana was arrested on suspicion of possession of a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm, and booked into the Solano County Jail.
