A four-alarm grass fire in unincorporated Solano County briefly
threatened nearby homes this afternoon, according to a sheriff's spokesman.
The fire in the English Hills area north of Vacaville was reported
just after 12:30 p.m., Solano County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Walt Gilliam
said.
The Vacaville Fire Protection District called a fourth alarm for
the fire because of concerns about the difficult terrain and nearby homes on
Skyhawk Lane, Gilliam said.
However, the fire was contained by around 1:15 p.m. with no
injuries or damage to any structures.
