Free Film Screening Will Spotlight Healing Power Of Horses

SUISUN CITY, CA —A free screening of Rescued Hearts, a documentary about the healing power of horses, will take place Friday at Suisun City's Rush Ranch.

Access Adventure, Crescent Moon Center and Solano Land Trust will host the event, bringing together horses, nature and community wellness. Seating is limited, and advance reservations are required.

An optional horse meet-and-greet runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the screening until 7:30 p.m. A brief panel discussion will follow.

“Rescued Hearts is more than a documentary. It’s an experience,” director Krisanna Sexton said in the release. “Every screening becomes a space for transformation.

Created by Sexton and Dana Croschere of Live Wild Films, the documentary premiered in 2025 and has since screened at community gatherings and film festivals around the world.

“We are excited to share how horses, open space, and art can create opportunities for people to notice themselves differently, recharge, heal or explore,” said Jennifer Leonard, Access Adventure's board president.

Access Adventure offers equine-assisted programs and adaptive recreation, Crescent Moon Center supports recovery through horses and the arts, and Solano Land Trust focuses on conservation and community engagement.

Rush Ranch Open Space is located at 3521 Grizzly Island Road in Suisun City. Guests may bring food and beverages.

Attendees can reserve seats through Access Adventure. More information about the documentary is available on the Rescued Hearts website.
