On July 13, 2020 Governor Newsom ordered the immediate shutdown of the following businesses in 30 California Counties on the County Monitoring List unless they can be modified to operate outside their establishments or by pick-up service only:
- Fitness Centers
- Places of Worship
- Indoor Protests
- Offices for Non-Essential Sectors
- Personal Care Services
- Nail Salons
- Body Waxing and Tattoo Parlors
- Hair Salons and Barbershops
- Shopping Malls
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is reporting this recent shutdown is due to the rise in new COVID-19 cases reported, hospitalization rates and dates in California within the past two weeks.

Solano County Public Health encourages all residents to continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and California Department of Public Health guidelines such as social distancing best practices, wearing a cloth face mask outside your home or when social distancing cannot be maintained, practicing coughing and sneezing etiquette, and using hand sanitizer or washing your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds.
