Shortly after the officers cleared that incident several callers reported the same individual had fired a handgun inside the Food Maxx grocery store in the 1800 block of North Texas Street, which is located nearby the first shooting call.

Officers responding to the call encountered the suspect on North Texas Street pushing a shopping cart with two young children riding inside. The suspect, later identified as 43 year old Shawn Glasper of Richmond, discarded a loaded 9mm pistol when challenged by officers and was arrested without incident. The children, ages 2 and 3, were unharmed.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Glasper had fired three rounds from his handgun earlier in the 500 block of East Tabor Avenue rather than the intersection which was previously reported. Shell casings at that scene were located and recovered.

The Food Maxx grocery store was full of shoppers at the time of that shooting and several witnesses were identified and interviewed. Glasper had fired two shots, one inside the store and one outside the store, and evidence was recovered related to this incident.

The two children were later re-united with their parents, who identified Glasper as a relative who was baby-sitting the children for the weekend.

Glasper appeared to be under the influence of narcotics at the time of his arrest and he was transported to Northbay Medical Center in Fairfield for observation.

At the time of this release it is anticipated Glasper will be booked into the Solano County Jail on a variety of charges to include negligent discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, and child endangerment.
