The BART Operations Control Center is also reporting long ticket lines at stations throughout the Bay Area, and customers are being advised to buy roundtrip tickets to avoid waiting in line twice.

There were delays at about 6:30 a.m. because of mechanical problems at the Daly City station.

The problem was resolved about an hour later but there were residual delays.
