Fairfield PAL is looking for VIDEO GAME Volunteers!

Complex, challenging, and ambitious, video games have come a long way since the simple arcade titles of the 1970s—and evidence is mounting that the benefits of play go well beyond entertainment and improved hand-eye coordination. But that takes informed adults to lead the way!

Help organize tournaments, exhibitions, consult on live action versions of games like Mario Kart, and lead gaming workshops and table talks!

There is a short applicant process (including fingerprinting) required to volunteer at the center for anyone 18 years of age and older. All costs are paid for by the PAL program and the process generally takes about 15- 20 minutes per applicant. All volunteers must agree to become mandated reporters, support the Alive & Free framework, and pass a local background check administered by the Fairfield Police Department. All costs are covered by the program and training is provided. For more information or to start the process, please call 707 422 6288.

PAL uses traditional recreational programming to create an environment that draws young people to support the development of the social and emotional skills required to promote a positive self-identity and become productive and engaged members of our community. By offering teens programs they are interested in and choices, it becomes possible to slip in pro social skill building and development utilizing youth development practices and techniques.
