John Muir's Passion for Plants Is Newest Vacaville Museum Exhibit
The exhibition showcases Muir's fascination with nature and devotion to plants.

The Vacaville Museum has opened its newest exhibit: “Nature’s Beloved Son, Rediscovering John Muir’s Botanical Legacy.” Also added: “Solano’s Man of Botany, Willis Jepson.”
This Muir travelling exhibit runs through Oct. 17 at the museum at 213 Buck Avenue in Vacaville, and includes historic images, specimens and Muir’s journal sketchings and writings of his interest in botany and plant collecting.
On Sept. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be an exhibit celebration and open house.

Students and faculty from the University of California, Davis Design School and Design Museum designed the exhibition.
The installation at Vacaville Museum was made possible with support from the Solano County Board of Supervisors
