Landsharks Band Headlines "Shore Fest"
Florida beach band looks to liven up crowd from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Gary Roland and the Landsharks Band will be paying its first ever visit to the Suisun City area this Saturday, as they’ll be headlining the “Shorefest Rock 'n' Roll Beach Party” in the Waterfront District from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The beach band has played in the Sacramento area before and in other locations in California, but has never paid a visit to the Suisun area, until this weekend. Roland, the band’s lead singer, said that the band usually plays where there are beaches in the United States, generally California, New York and Florida.
“We play everywhere but those three places especially,” Roland said. “We’re a beach band and played up and down the east coast for years. We started playing on the west coast and we decided we needed to be on both coasts. We go where the beaches are.”

Roland added that the band has played with the Beach Boys and backed up Jimmy Buffet at times, as well as performed in pre- and postgame activities at the Super Bowl XXXIX and for the NFL Players Association. They’ve also performed overseas for U.S. troops.
“It’s going to be fun,” Roland said, adding that there’s going to be a lot of audience interaction this Saturday.
