Learn to do business with the state of California
Assemblymember Jim Frazier and the Fairfield-Suisun and Vacaville chambers of commerce host a free seminar on Friday, Sept. 18.

Small-business owners in Solano County are invited to learn about increasing their business opportunities with the state of California during a free workshop on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015.
Co-sponsored by Assemblymember Jim Frazier, the California Department of General Services and the Fairfield-Suisun and Vacaville chambers of commerce, the Doing Business With the State of California workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairfield-Suisun chamber office, 1111 Webster St., Fairfield.
This free seminar is open to both chamber and non-chamber members.
Staff from the Department of General Services will explain the process of becoming certified to do business with the state.
“Whether they are buying goods or services or information technology, state agencies in California are required to spend at least 25 percent of their purchasing funds with certified small businesses,” Assemblymember Frazier noted. “This workshop will help local owners determine if they meet the criteria to become certified.”
