Man, 21, Shot Sunday Afternoon In Fairfield

Police are looking for a person who shot and critically injured a 21-year-old man in Fairfield on Sunday afternoon.

At 4:08 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near San Miguel Drive and El Verano Court, according to police. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Police described the suspect as a male wearing dark clothing who witnesses saw fleeing west away from the shooting scene and onto Dover Avenue. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
