Man Hides From Suisun City Cops, Arrested For Stolen Gun Possession: Police

BREAKING: The Fairfield man was found hiding in a creek bed, police say.

SUISUN CITY, CA -- Suisun City police arrested a Fairfield man early Sunday morning on suspicion of possessing a stolen firearm. Police responded around 12:40 a.m. to a report of two men and a woman arguing in a vehicle at Humphrey and Frieda drives.

Officers saw one of the men, identified as Dion Cain, 23, of Fairfield, get out of the front passenger seat, lean back into the vehicle, remove something from his waistband and drop it into the vehicle, police said.

Police initially were unable to stop Cain as he fled and jumped fences in the area, but they detained the driver of the vehicle and found a firearm on the front passenger floorboard.

Cain was found in a creek bed between Suisun City and the Tolenas area of unincorporated Solano County south of Fairfield. He was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, resisting police and multiple weapons
offenses, police said.

Police said the weapon found in the car was reported stolen in Nevada.
