Suisun City Man Killed in Shooting in Nearby Fairfield
BREAKING: No arrests yet made, and police are seeking leads in the case.

FAIRFIELD, CA – A 25-year-old man from Suisun City was shot and killed in Fairfield Tuesday afternoon, prompting the lockdown of a nearby elementary school, according to police.
The victim was identified as Jose Jimenez Jr., police said.
The victim was shot at about 1:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Mankas Boulevard. He was taken to a hospital for treatment but died later in the afternoon.

The shooting happened only about a block away from K.I. Jones Elementary School at 2001 Winston Drive. The school was briefly placed on lockdown to make sure all students were safe, police said.
