Man Makes Multiple Attempts To Lure Teen Into Car In Fairfield: Police Report

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A man reportedly attempted multiple times to lure a 16-year-old girl into his car before driving off this morning in Fairfield, according to police.

The Fairfield Police Department said the teen was walking at 9 a.m. northbound on Dover Avenue north of East Tabor Avenue when a 2000s-model, dark gray, four-door sedan slowed near her and blocked a driveway area into a nearby parking lot.

The male driver reportedly spoke to the girl and tried luring her into his vehicle, however, the girl told him to leave her alone and kept walking, police said. After driving off, he allegedly returned twice, making similar attempts to convince her to get into his car, but she refused, the department said.

"The suspect eventually gave up and drove away northbound on Dover Avenue," police said.

The suspect was described as a black man, approximately 25 years old, with very short dark hair, brown eyes, a big nose and possible tattoos on his arm, according to police.

"Parents, please take this opportunity to have conversations with your children about the dangers of speaking with, or accompanying strangers. If an incident occurs, kids are encouraged to run away and immediately contact parents, school officials, or police," the agency added.
