
A woman was struck and killed by a car in Fairfield on Friday night, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the 1300 block of West Texas Street around 7:50 p.m., police said.
Emergency crews arrived and found the woman lying on the roadway and pronounced her dead at the scene, according to police. Medical personnel said it appeared a car had struck her, police said.

She has been identified today as 38-year-old Fairfield resident Lannett Todd, according to the Solano County coroner’s office.
The car and its driver remained at the scene when police arrived.

An investigation indicated that Todd was on a traffic lane near the curb for an undetermined reason, police said.
No arrests were made, police said.
West Texas Street was closed in both directions between First Street and Pennsylvania Avenue as police investigated the collision until about 12:30 a.m. today.
