Pedestrian Suffers Multiple Injuries After Hit By Suspected Drunk Driver, 78
The incident was Saturday evening on North Texas Street in Fairfield.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A 48-year-old Fairfield resident suffered multiple injuries after being struck by a suspected drunk driver, who was arrested, Saturday night in Fairfield, police said.
Police were called at 7:28 p.m. to North Texas Street near Oak Street where arriving officers found the victim in the street. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, Jerry Swearengin, a 78-year-old Fairfield resident, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
