Police Descend On Fairfield Motel, Arrest 4 On Drug Charges

Arrest charges included maintaining a drug house.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA β€” Four people were arrested Thursday at a Fairfield motel when police served multiple search warrants for alleged drug-related activities, including maintaining a drug house. The arrests of Fairfield residents Lamar Woods, 49, Sharon Walton, 58, Ernest Vaughn, 31, and Maisha Carillo, 33, were the culmination of a month-long investigation, said Fairfield police Spokeswoman Kathryn McCormick.

Personnel with the Fairfield Police Department Special Operations Team, Investigations Bureau, Patrol Bureau, Code Enforcement Unit and Fairfield Fire Department descended on the motel in the 2200 block of Texas Street to serve the warrants.

The investigation led to the arrests of Walton on suspicion of drug sales, maintaining a drug house, a probation violation and outstanding warrants; Woods on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition, being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and maintaining a drug house; Vaughn on suspicion of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Carillo on suspicion of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four were booked into Solano County Jail.

Additionally, police are investigating multiple city and fire code violations at the place of business, McCormick said.
