Police ID Group-Home Homicide Victim
The 28-year-old man was killed in fight with another resident, officials said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Fairfield police have identified a man who was killed during a fightat a transitional group home Sunday as 28-year-old Michael Perry of Fairfield.
Salvador Romero, 33, of Fairfield, was arrested on suspicion of the murder, as well as violation of probation, police said.
Both men lived at the room and board home in the 500 block of Dakota Street that is not required to be licensed, Detective Kathryn McCormick said today.

Police responded around 7:15 p.m. Sunday to the home, which is for people who are able to care for themselves with little assistance. Weapons were not involved in the homicide, McCormick said.
Romero was arraigned this afternoon in Solano County Superior Court and a preliminary hearing date is scheduled for Nov. 1.
