Police Investigate Shooting, Car Break-Ins In Suisun City

The incident were overnight.

Police today are investigating a shooting incident and series of vehicle burglaries overnight in Suisun City.

Officers responded at 1:45 a.m. to the 400 block of Cordelia Street in reference to a report of shots fired.

The victim, who was not injured in the shooting, told police he heard something outside his residence and looked outside to see two men inside his truck.

The victim yelled at the men and went outside as the men yelled back and fled west on Cordelia Street.

One of the men then stopped, pulled a chrome semi-automatic 9 mm handgun, said “You want to chase us?” and fire a shot at the man, police said.

The victim told police he hid behind a brick column of a nearby home as the suspects fled the area. Investigators said it appears at least eight nearby vehicles were broken into and ransacked overnight. The vehicles targeted were left unlocked by the owners, police said.
