Raley's Says It Double Charged Some Customers Sunday

A computer system glitch may have double charged some Raley's customers who shopped there on Sunday

Check your bank statement if you shopped at on Sunday. The supermarket chain said its computer systems were having trouble that day and may have double-charged some customers for their groceries.

Here's what was announced on their website this morning:

On November 6th, our Raley's, Bel Air, Nob Hill, and Food Source stores experienced a technical problem with transactions using debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and EBT cards that may have resulted in duplicate charges to some of our customers. If you made a purchase in our stores on November 6th, your account may have been charged more than once for the same amount.

We understand how frustrating this situation is and we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience. We want you to know that we have corrected the problem and all transactions are now being processed correctly. Also, we want to assure you that the security of your personal and financial payment information was never at risk.

Again, we sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused and we're committed to making it right. Currently, we have begun the reversal process and we are working to resolve any duplicate charges as quickly as possible.
