Rewards Up To $500 For Gun-Near-School Tips Leading To Arrests
Fairfield police wish to encourage locals to come forward with information on illegal weapons on or near school campuses.

FAIRFIELD, CA – The Fairfield Police Department is offering up to $500 to those who provide "specific information" that leads to an arrest of someone illegally possessing a firearm on or near a school campus within city limits, according to authorities.
"We believe all of us have a responsibility to help keep our students and community safe," the agency said today. "The Fairfield Police Department’s top priority is the safety of people in our city and working alongside community members helps keep everyone safe."
Anyone with knowledge of people illegally possessing weapons in school vicinities are asked to call 911 or contacting school resource officers or school administrators, police said, adding that the department hopes to protect children's safety and further its "strong partnership with the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District and the Travis Unified School District."
