At-Risk Missing Woman Found In Solano Town Center

BREAKING: The 61-year-old was spotted by a kind citizen, who bought her coffee and breakfast and said she appeared "frazzled."

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – UPDATE: THURSDAY, DEC. 8, 11:10 a.m.

A disabled woman who went missing Wednesday was found this morning, a Fairfield police officer said.

Vickie Voelker, 61, of Fairfield, was found around 10:15 a.m. in the food court at the Solano Town Center mall on Travis Boulevard in Fairfield, Officer Kathryn McCormick said.

An area resident recognized Voelker at the mall this morning after seeing social-media posts, police said.

The resident called authorities after buying her coffee and breakfast in the food court as she "appeared frazzled."

After leaving the mall, the woman saw the news posting on the missing Voelker and immediately recognized her as the woman she had bought breakfast for just 30 minutes earlier. She immediately contacted the Fairfield Police Department.

THURSDAY, DEC. 8, 8:17 a.m.

Fairfield police are searching for a disabled woman who has been missing since Wednesday morning.

Vickie Voelker, 61, was last seen leaving her home on Highland Circle at around 10 a.m. wearing a black and gray plaid jacket, dark-colored shorts and sandals. Her family reported her missing at about 6:15 p.m.
Voelker is 5 foot 9 and weighs 122 pounds.

She is considered to be at risk because of her mental and physical health conditions. She is also blind in one eye, police said.

Anyone who sees Voelker has been asked to call the Fairfield police at (707) 428-7300.
