Shooting At Suisun City Popeyes Leaves 21-Year-Old Dead: Police

BREAKING: The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Suisun City police.

SUISUN CITY, CA — A 21-year-old man was killed in a shooting Friday night, Suisun City police said. At 9:35 p.m., multiple 911 callers reported a shooting had just taken place at Popeyes Louisiana Chicken at 1210 Anderson Drive. Responding officers found the victim shot in the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant off Grizzly Island Road and state Highway 12.

Although police, fire and medical personnel provided aid, the young man, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The shooting remained under investigation Monday.

According to police, witnesses reported seeing two people flee the scene in a vehicle prior to officers' arrival.
