Solano Co. Man Seeking To 'Pay Young Women For Fun' Instead Gets Arrested: Sheriff's Office

Breaking: The 42-year-old posted a flier and contact number, Solano County sheriff's officials allege.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Fairfield man suspected of posting a flier at a Solano Community College bus stop seeking young women interested in being paid $50 per hour to "just have some fun" was instead arrested by Solano County sheriff's detectives.

Marvin Ware, 42, was taken into custody at a local motel Thursday afternoon on suspicion of contacting a minor with the intention to have sex, according to a sheriff's statement published Friday.

Sheriff's detectives had been notified of the flier -- which included a phone number to contact -- two weeks earlier. Posing as a minor, undercover detectives texted back and forth with Ware -- ultimately arranging to meet him at a motel.

"Mr. Ware showed up to the motel with the items he was asked to bring, but instead of meeting a minor, he was met by our detectives," sheriff's officials said.

Ware remained behind bars Friday at Solano County Jail on $80,000 bail. Records show that at the time of his arrest Thursday, he was on probation for a prior offense.
