The Solano County Probation Department has received a grant to monitor high-risk DUI offenders.
The $260,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety will pay for two probation officers’ intensive supervision and monitoring of offenders on probation for felony DUI or multiple misdemeanor DUI convictions, county officials said.
The intensive supervision will include unannounced home searches, random alcohol and drug testing and assuring compliance with court-ordered education and treatment programs, county officials said.
