Solano County: 3 Arrested in Fatal Shooting

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police say they've arrested three suspects, including a minor, in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Sulpicio Rios in Fairfield the night of Dec. 10.

Police announced Dec. 15 they've arrested 18-year-old Fairfield resident Jorge Hernandez and 19-year-old Joel Melendez from Tracy on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

An unnamed 15-year-old boy from Tracy was also arrested on the same charges.

The murder victim was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 800 block of East Travis Boulevard when officers were responded to that location around 9:05 p.m. and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Another shooting was reported at 9:41 p.m. at a party in the 600 block of Greentree Circle. One victim was dropped off at a Vallejo hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and further details will not be released at this time.
