Solo Car Rollover Snarls Traffic On I-80

A solo car crash blocked two lanes of Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers responded to a report of a crash on westbound Highway 80 west of Interstate Highway 680 around 8:30 a.m., CHP officials said.

The car rolled over and the driver suffered major injuries in the accident, according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:59 a.m. and there was no estimated time of when the lanes will reopen, CHP officials said.
