The Soroptimists of Central Solano County make a difference!

Each week, members of the Soroptimists of Central Solano County visit the PAL Teen Center as part of their support of the Girls Circle program. They bring supplies and of course a yummy dinner. The Girls Circle® model, a structured support group for girls and youth who identify with female development integrates relational theory, resiliency practices, and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence.

This week, they turned their attention to the outside of the PAL building. The club replaced the front door that had been damaged and spent Saturday pulling weeds and bagging debris around the front of the building. They removed over 9 huge bags of trash and refreshed the entrance.

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. ABOUT FAIRFIELD PAL

The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Membership is FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a current ID and parent / guardian signature. The PAL Center’s drop-in program is currently closed as we prepare to re-open at after a remodel. Fairfield PAL uses the fun of recreation to engage teens and build great qualities.
