Several neeeiighbors helped corral the steed, sheriff's officials said about the horseplay incident.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A Solano County sheriff's deputy can now add horse wrangling to her resume after responding Tuesday to reports of a large gray-and-black horse running down a local roadway. According to a Solano County Sheriff's Office account of the incident, the horse later identified as Lobo was galloping around in the area of Suisun Valley Road and Mankas Corner — causing a major traffic backup.
Patrol deputies and Solano County Animal Services officers responded to the scene and located the scared horse with the help of several neeeiighbors.
"Deputy Jordan Austin and Officer Stephanie Wells were able to corral the horse and create a makeshift harness," sheriff's officials said in a Facebook post. "Lobo was given a stern warning by Deputy Austin and walked back safely to the owners, who were extremely happy to be reunited!"
