What is a Conditional Use Permit?

The City uses Conditional Use Permits to ensure each use harmonizes well with each other. Some uses have the potential for becoming a nuisance and may be suitable only in certain locations or zoning districts. Conditional Use Permits allow a use only when such uses can be controlled or designed in a particular manner. Currently in our Ordinance the conditional uses listed don’t match the world today. We are asking our City residents to get involved and share their insight on what uses should be subject to a Conditional Use Permit.

What is a Good Neighbor Policy?

It may be necessary for certain uses to take necessary steps to reach out to its neighbors prior to submitting a development application to the City. Please help us determine which uses these are and what types of outreach would be appropriate.

This workshop is relevant to everyone!
