Suisun City Man Arrested In 2013 Vallejo Murder Case

VALLEJO - Vallejo police said a Suisun City suspect in a 2013 murder has been arrested.

Lorenzo Anderson, 23, of Suisun City, was arrested for the shooting murder of Emil Z. Rodriguez, 22, of Vallejo on Dec. 5, 2013, Lt. Joseph Iacono said Thursday afternoon.

Police responded around 3 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the area of Chelsea Court and Tregaskis Avenue, Iacono said.

Rodriguez was found wounded in the area of Webb and Cedar streets and died at a hospital.

Police searched for a black male suspect in his 20s in the 500 block of Vervais Avenue, and a SWAT team searched two homes after the shooting.

Police developed new leads in the case early this year that identified Anderson as the suspect.

The U.S. Marshal's Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force and Vallejo police detectives took Anderson into custody.

Anderson was booked in the Solano County Jail.
