Suisun City Man Arrested for DUI, Weapons
The convicted felon had knives and a loaded gun.

The California Highway Patrol arrested a Suisun City man near Santa Rosa Sunday night on suspicion of DUI and being a felon in possession of a loaded and concealed firearm.
A CHP officer saw a black Lexus sedan speeding onto northbound U.S. Highway 101 near Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa around 9:30 p.m., CHP Officer Jon Sloat said. The driver of the sedan drove north at 75 mph before it slowed and began weaving, Sloat said.
The officer stopped Dante Richmond, 38, at Mark West Springs Road and arrested him for DUI, Sloat said. The officer found a folding knife in each of Richmond’s front pockets and a fully loaded magazine of .40-caliber bullets, Sloat said.

The officer found a .40-caliber handgun with a bullet in the chamber in the glove box, and prescription pain pills without a prescription in the vehicle, Sloat said.
Richmond has a history of drug and weapons violations in the San Francisco area, Sloat said.

He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded and concealed firearm, possession of a controlled substance and DUI, Sloat said.
