Suisun City Man, Who Allegedly Took Ax To Argument With Apartment Dweller, Arrested

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A Suisun City man was arrested in Fairfield Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and firearms-related offenses, police said.

Gerrardo Aldana, 25, was allegedly beating on an apartment door with an ax and engaged in a verbal altercation with the apartment's resident. He then brandished a gun, police said.

Aldana fled in a vehicle before police arrived. Police officers located Aldana driving on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers pulled Aldana over in the 1300 block of West Texas Street in a high-risk car stop.

Police found Aldana to be armed with a loaded handgun, an axe and a large knife. Officers found that the gun had been stolen in a burglary several years ago, police said.

Aldana is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing guns or ammunition, according to police.

Officers booked Aldana into Solano County Jail.
