Suisun City Notice To Contractors – Civic Center Boulevard Asphalt Concrete Overlay And Water Line Replacement Project

The Department of Public Works has issued a Notice to Contractors inviting qualified contractors to provide proposals for the Civic Center Boulevard Asphalt Concrete and Water Line Replacement Project.

The work to be performed, in general, consists of supplying all labor, materials, tools, equipment, implements and methods of process to remove and replace a waterline and resurface Civic Center Boulevard from Lotz Way to Driftwood Drive. The waterline segments to be removed and abandoned may be classified as hazardous or special waste or asbestos-containing material (ACM). The work also includes surface preparation of all streets; removal and replacement of curb ramps to meet ADA requirements; removal and replacement of a sanitary sewer manhole; removal and replacement of a fire hydrant; raising to grade existing utility covers; protection of existing utilities; pavement delineation; and all other work as shown on the Project Plans.

The City will conduct a pre-bid meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the intersection of Civic Center Boulevard and Driftwood Drive, at 1:30 PM. While it is not a mandatory pre-bid meeting, prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. All attendees are required to have face mask and comply with social distancing guidelines. Those without face masks will not be allowed to participate in the pre-bid meeting.

• The overall format of the pre-bid meeting will be as follows:
• Registration from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM.
• City staff presentation/project site walk-through from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM.
• Questions and answers session tentatively at 2:15 PM.

For bonding purposes, the Engineer’s for this project is $800,000. Further details of this project are in the full Notice to Contactors available below.
