Suisun City PD Plans Giant Block Party For 'National Night Out'

The event is Tuesday, Aug. 2. Neighborhoods also encouraged to plan community events with help from department.

Announcement from the Suisun City Police Department:

SUISUN CITY, CA -- How would you like to improve the safety of your neighborhood? Have a fun time with your neighbors? Take part in a Nationwide Event?

On Tuesday, August 2nd, neighborhoods throughout Suisun City are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the "33rd Annual National Night Out" Crime and Drug Prevention Event.

The Suisun City Police Department in partnership with the Salvation Army "KROC" Center will host a Community Block Party at Carl E Hall Park from 5:00 - 8:30 PM. in celebration of National Night Out.

The Community Block Party will include free snacks, jump houses for kids; and other fun activities. We will also be hosting various informational booths from local organizations that work within the community that provide a wide array of services.

In addition to the community event we are encouraging all Neighborhood Watch Block Captains to host individual block parties.
