You are invited to Blues for Bones II, put on by the Solano Blues Community to raise much needed funds for the SPCA of Solano County.  Help us support this worthwhile and often neglected non-profit organization that does such a great job of helping local animals in need.  This year's event promises to be the best blues event Vacaville has ever seen with the world famous blues artists John Lee Hooker Jr. along with Rick Estrin & The Nightcats as well as local favorites The Used Blues Band and many special guests performing as the Solano Blues Community Allstars.  The venue is donated by Wild Vines Bucktown Ranch and is a beautiful park setting with trees & lawn seating so bring your lawn chairs, blankets, hats & sunscreen (no umbrellas allowed).  Along with the music there will be great BB-Q, salads, cold beer, wine & non alcoholic beverages for purchase as well as raffle ticket sales and a chance to win a guitar signed by all the artists with every ticket purchase. Please no animal companions at this event - but you can take them a doggy bag and let them know you helped other animals by attending!

If you go: This concert is limited to the first 300 people so get your tickets now. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door if any tickets are available. Tickets can be bought by clicking here. Parking is $3 per vehicle and there is no street parking available.  No ice chests, outside food or beverages allowed for this event (food and beverages are available for purchase at the venue). Gates open at 3 p.m. and the music starts at 4 p.m. Wild Vines Bucktown Ranch is at 6902 Bucktown Lane, in Vacaville.

Saturday:

Come see the movie outdoors on the beautiful Harbor Plaza in the heart of the Waterfront District on Main Street and Solano Street.  Bring a blanket or low-slung chair for lawn seating, your favorite snacks, and enjoy the weekly show! The Land Before Time (G) - Littlefoot, a brontosaurus child, must fend for himself when his mother is killed (shades of Bambi). With several other orphaned dinosaurs, Littlefoot seeks out the fabled Great Valley, where food and shelter is plentiful. Oh yeah.

If you go: This free movie starts at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.) on Harbor Plaza at Main Street and Solano Street. Bring your blankets and low chairs!

Sunday:

Enjoy live jazz music on the shores of Suisun Marina. Bring your family, friends or church group to the Waterfront District for an afternoon of great music and picnicking! The Dalt Williams Quintet features vocalist Tranishia Gholston with a “swinging” group of musicians committed to performing America’s #1 art form…..JAZZ. These talented musicians are particularly skilled in performing the great American popular music written in the period of 1920 to 1960 (which lends itself well to the jazz genre). Be it Dixieland, Swing, BeBop, Latin, or just plain Blues; the Dalt Williams group with Tranishia Gholston are versatile in performing the many styles of jazz.

If you go: The free music plays between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Harbor Plaza, Main Street and Solano Street in Suisun City.
