Suisun City Welcomes New Police Chief
Police Chief Aaron Roth comes to Suisun City from the Martinez Police Department.

SUISUN CITY, CA — Suisun City has a new top cop. Police Chief Aaron Roth started serving in his new Monday, July 1, the city of Suisun City announced in a news release. Roth comes to Suisun City from the Martinez Police Department, where he was second in command in his role as a captain.
Roth fills the vacancy created by the departure of former Suisun City police Chief Tim Mattos. Mattos was serving as interim city manager for Suisun City when he was hired in December 2018 as the director of the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Roth brings nearly 20 years of law enforcement experience. He holds a master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute.

City Manager Greg Folsom said the city is pleased to welcome Roth as its police chief.
"Chief Roth joins a well-run, busy department and we are looking forward to his leadership in moving the department to greater levels of excellence," Folsom said.

Mayor Lori Wilson said she is excited about Roth joining the Suisun City family.
"As the mayor of a diverse city, who we hired as the police chief was of the utmost importance," Wilson said. "... I believe he is the right person to continue the excellent work of our police department and keep our neighborhoods safe."
Roth will have his ceremonial swearing-in at a City Council meeting later this year when his entire family is able to attend.
